EU to create new agency for preparedness to future health threats

Ursula von der Leyen told the European Parliament in a speech in Strasbourg that the #EU‘s first #pandemic priority was to speed up global vaccination. Von der Leyen said the European Union was setting up a #health #emergency response authority, designed to improve the bloc’s response to cross-border health threats. She proposed on Wednesday that the EU invest 50 billion euros by 2027 to improve its preparedness and resilience to future health threats.
