Up to 300,000 Russian reservists are being called up to join the war in Ukraine. President Vladimir Putin announced the ‘partial mobilisation’ during a rare national television address. Putin also gave his full support to referendums on occupied areas joining the Russia, saying the votes are needed to protect civilians from the ‘neo-Nazi’ government of Ukraine.
