Ukraine: Zelenskiy party set to win snap election

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s party looks set to win the parliamentary election. Exit polls and early counting show the Servant of the People party far ahead of rival parties and on course for the best result any party has achieved in Ukraine’s post-Soviet history. Zelenskiy called snap elections after his landslide presidential win in April because parliament was dominated by his opponents. He said a parliamentary majority would help support his promised reforms and his fight against corruption.
