Climate Action: Commission launches public consultations on Climate Pact and future climate policies

The transition towards a climate neutral economy is the major challenge of our generation and can only succeed if all sectors of society and economy play their part. Today, the Commission is launching a public consultation on the future European Climate Pact. Through this consultation, everyone in Europe has the opportunity to co-design this initiative that aims at new climate actions, sharing information, launching grassroots activities and showcasing solutions that others can follow. At the same time, the Commission is officially launching the work on two important policy instruments under the European Green Deal with the publication of the inception impact assessments on the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism and the review of the Energy Taxation Directive.
