Commissioner Hoekstra in Wrocław for the EU Climate Adaptation Forum

Commissioner for Climate, Net-Zero and Clean Growth, Wopke Hoekstra, is in Wrocław, Poland to participate in the 4th Forum of the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change, meet government representatives and visit innovative clean tech projects today and tomorrow.
Today, the Commissioner will visit the company Saule Technologies that develops innovative high-performing and inkjet-printed solar cells, and the GEO-3EM research centre of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. Later, he will meet with the Minister of Climate and Environment, Paulina Hennig-Kloska.
Tomorrow morning, he will deliver opening remarks at the Forum of the EU Climate Adaptation Mission, which will gather EU regions, cities and local authorities to strengthen cooperation and efforts to become climate resilient and better prepare to face the impacts of climate change. The Commissioner together with the Polish Climate and Environment Minister will host a press point on adaptation matters for local media at 8.00 CEST. Later in the day, he will visit together with the Mayor of Kłodzko, Michał Piszko, the local areas affected by the 2024 floods.
