Council statements regarding situation in the Middle East
Statement by the High Representative on behalf of the EU on Council Implementing Decision concerning restrictive measures directed against certain persons and entities in view of the situation Iran
On 24 April 2023, the Council adopted Implementing Decision (CFSP) 2023/8491 implementing Council Decision 2011/235/CFSP.
The Council Implementing Decision amends the list of persons and entities subject to restrictive measures as set out in the Annex to Decision 2011/235/CFSP.
The candidate countries North Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Ukraine, Republic of Moldova and Bosnia and Herzegovina2, as well as the EFTA countries Liechtenstein and Norway, members of the European Economic Area, align themselves with this Council Decision.
They will ensure that their national policies conform to this Council Implementing Decision.
Statement by the High Representative on behalf of the EU on the alignment of certain countries with Council Decision concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Syria
On 24 April 2023, the Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2023/8471, amending Decision 2013/255/CFSP concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Syria.
The Council adds 25 persons and 8 entities to the list of natural and legal persons, entities or bodies subject to restrictive measures set out in Annex I to Decision 2013/255/CFSP.
The candidate countries North Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Ukraine, Republic of Moldova and Bosnia and Herzegovina2, the potential candidate country Georgia, the EFTA countries Liechtenstein and Norway, members of the European Economic Area, align themselves with this Council Decision.
