Executive Vice-President Dombrovskis and Commissioners Gentiloni and McGuinness taking part in informal meeting of Eurogroup ministers with US Treasury Secretary Yellen
© European Union 2019 - Source : EP/Christian CREUTZToday, Executive Vice-President for an Economy that Works for People, Valdis Dombrovskis, Commissioner for Economy, Paolo Gentiloni, and Commissioner for Financial services, financial stability and Capital Markets Union, Mairead McGuinness, are taking part in an informal meeting of Eurogroup ministers with US Secretary of the Treasury, Janet Yellen, in Washington DC. The participants will discuss the transatlantic economic outlook and risks in view of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. EU finance ministers will participate, together with International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva and European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde. The meeting is held in the margins of the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group. Commissioner Gentiloni will take part in the press conference scheduled at 15:30 CEST (9:30 local time).
