Executive Vice-President Mînzatu visits Moldova in the frame of the EU-Moldova High-level Dialogue

Executive Vice-President for Social Rights and Skills, Quality Jobs and Preparedness, Roxana Mînzatu is in Moldova, where she launched yesterday the High-Level European Union–Republic of Moldova Dialogue on Labour, Skills, Education, Social, and Child Policies. Co-chaired by Executive Vice-President Mînzatu, the Minister of Labour and Social Protection, Alexei Buzu, and the Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun, the dialogue reflects a shared commitment to strengthening human capital and advancing Moldova’s reform agenda in key areas for its European path.

On the same day, the Executive Vice-President met with the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, and the Prime Minister Dorin Recean.

Later that day, the Executive Vice-President visited a secondary school in Criuleni, which is part of the Model School Proramme and will undergo refurbishment with support from EU funding, and a social laundry service in Zubrești village where she engaged with the beneficiaries of the service and attended an event focused on promoting intergenerational dialogue and preservation of cultural traditions.

Promotion and participation of young women in science will also be the main focus of today’s visit at the Technical University of Moldova. They will provide the opportunity for Executive Vice-President Mînzatu to see first-hand EU’s support to quality education and skills development in Moldova through the Erasmus+ programme. The mission concludes today with a meeting with the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, Doina Nistor.
