Group leaders to meet EC VP Šefčovič on EU-UK relations

Following the entry into force of the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation agreement (TCA), Parliament’s committees and the UK Contact Group monitor closely its implementation and that of the 2020 UK Withdrawal Agreement.

The Conference of Presidents will discuss the current state of play, in particular regarding the implementation of the Protocol on Ireland and Northern Ireland with Commission Vice-President Šefčovič, EU representative in the EU-UK Joint Committee and Partnership Council. They might also discuss the announced specific EU proposals to the UK on how to implement the Ireland/Northern Ireland protocol more effectively.
