EP President Tajani and EUROCHAMBRES President Leitl today signed an agreement to work closer together for the European Elections 23-26 May 2019.

“We need strong engagement from European citizens in the next months to work together for a better European Union. I am therefore very thankful for the commitment from EUROCHAMBRES and the many businesses it represents in both informing and encouraging its members to get involved in the European elections.” President Antonio Tajani said after the signature.

EUROCHAMBERS represents over 20 million businesses in Europe through 46 members associations and chamber organisations. With the partnership, EUROCHAMBRES and the Parliament will work together to highlight the importance and relevance of the European Elections 2019 and accordingly to mobilize citizens to vote in May on an informed basis.

Christoph Leitl, President of EUROCHAMBRES said: “The next five years will be decisive for the citizens of Europe. We have to give the young people life perspectives to fulfil their wishes and hopes. The 20 million companies we are representing as EUROCHAMBRES, are in charge of the future for many of these people. Therefore we will contribute and do what we have to do for a better Europe, for a future oriented Europe, for a chance for young people in Europe.”
