Vice-President Schinas and Commissioner Johansson in Vienna tomorrow

Vice-President for Promoting our European Way of Life, Margaritis Schinas, and Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ylva Johansson, will both be in Vienna, Austria tomorrow. As part of the programme of bilateral engagement with Member States to prepare the New Pact on Migration and Asylum, they will meet Austria Interior Minister Karl Nehammer, Foreign Affairs Minister Alexander Schallenberg, Minister for the European Union and Constitution Karoline Edtstadler, Integration Minister Susanne Raab, and Justice Minister Alma Zadic. Vice-President Schinas will meet Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz to discuss all aspects of the Vice-President’s portfolio including security, migration, education and inclusion. Vice-President Schinas will also meet Defense Minister Klaudia Tanner, and will hold a citizens’ dialogue at the Vienna Diplomatic Academy. Commissioner Johansson will hold a meeting with civil society organisations and will meet the Director of the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights, Michael O’Flaherty.
