PRESS RELEASE

PubAffairs Bruxelles announces the official start of an editorial partnership with ECDPM, the Centre for Africa-Europe relations.

Brussels, 26.06.2023. PubAffairs Bruxelles is pleased to announce that it has officially entered into an editorial partnership with ECDPM, a leading think-tank that is committed to advancing inclusive and sustainable development as a vehicle for constructive engagement between Africa and Europe.

This partnership aligns with one of the fundamental principles of PubAffairs Bruxelles, namely, to represent the full range of policy sectors and civil society organisations concerned with EU policymaking. In today’s rapidly changing landscape, it is important to go beyond the headlines and ECDPM’s value-driven research will allow all concerned parties to gain insights into key policy issues related to pivotal topics such as climate, energy, food, trade, cooperation for development, migration, and human rights.

ECDPM will contribute to the Opinion and Analysis section of PubAffairs’ website, which was conceived to enable readers to go deeper into cutting-edge matters discussed across Europe and globally. To this end, ECDPM’s selected research output will allow readers to gain a clearer understanding of inclusive and sustainable development.

“Sustainable development lies at the core of addressing the most pressing challenges of our time. In fact, through the lens of sustainable development, we can thoroughly understand the path ahead. This partnership with ECDPM marks a significant step towards fostering a deeper understanding of this critical concept.”- Massimiliano Gobbato, Communication Director, PubAffairs Bruxelles

“We are very pleased to start this editorial partnership with PubAffairs Bruxelles. This collaboration will contribute to our outreach efforts to policymakers in Brussels but also to different audiences, such as the private sector, that are becoming increasingly important actors in the implementation of the SDGs.” – Virginia Mucchi, Head of Outreach and Impact, ECDPM

Along with daily updates on the most relevant EU institutional and EU-related media news covering the most important aspects of the EU policymaking, PubAffairs Bruxelles’ cross-sectorial network of practitioners, experts and active citizens will now benefit from ECDPM’s insights into policy questions stemming from both Europe and Africa.
