Dominik Ruderer heads the division in the EIB’s technical directorate responsible for Critical Raw Materials and Energy Intensive Industries since 2024. He is thereby overseeing the EIB’s sector policies in these areas as well as the Bank’s technical appraisal for all lending operations in these sectors. Previously, he was working as an economist in the EIB’s energy department as well as Senior Advisor to the President of the EIB. Before joining the EIB, Dominik was working for different utilities in the EU energy sector as well as for the German government. He has studied economics in Munich, Copenhagen and Cambridge and holds a PhD and Diploma in Economics from the University of Munich.
