San Bilal is Head of the Trade, Investment and Finance Programme at the European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM) in Maastricht and Brussels, where he is based. He holds a PhD in Economics and a Master’s degree in International Relations. His current activities focus on EU-Africa economic relations, structural transformation and integration dynamics in Africa, development finance issues (blended finance and the role of development banks and financial institutions), and trade and development.
