Karsten Schulze has been the Technical Services President of Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club e.V. (ADAC) since May 2019, as well as the Chief Technical Officer of ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg e.V. since 2018. Karsten Schulze completed an apprenticeship as an automotive mechanic and trained as a software developer. He earned his master mechanic certification and managed a family-owned bus company for nearly 30 years. In addition to his ADAC roles, he is a board member of the eFuel Alliance. Previously, he served for 17 years on the Presidential Board and General Assembly of the Berlin Chamber of Commerce and Industry and was a member of the SME advisory board at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (2014–2018).
