BREXIT: Theresa May updates MPs on “Halloween Brexit deal” – Full debate at Commons

UK Prime Minister Theresa May has cancelled Easter break for her Brexit negotiators in an effort to thwart Nigel Fargae in the upcoming European Parliament elections.

The former Ukip leader launched his new Brexit Party this week to get MEPs elected in May.

However, Mrs May is desperate to avoid Mr Farage and his party from securing seats in the European Parliament and to do that she is having her negotiators work through Easter.

Senior Conservatives hope Brexit compromise talks will conclude with enough time for the UK to avoid fighting European Parliament elections.

On Thursday, Theresa May updated MPs on the “Halloween Brexit delay” she agreed with EU leaders. This video has the full debate at the House of Commons.
