US President Joe Biden has made a big change in his policy after meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on his tour of the Middle East. During his election campaign in 2019, President Biden vowed to make Saudi Arabia a “pariah” state. It came after the CIA concluded the crown prince had approved the brutal killing of the journalist Jamal Khashoggi inside the Istanbul consulate. The Saudi state has denied the findings of the CIA.
