Foreign Affairs Council (Trade), 12-15 June 2022

The Foreign Affairs Council (Trade) will meet again on 12 June in Geneva, in the margins of the 12th WTO ministerial conference.

Agriculture and Fisheries Council, 13 June 2022

EU agriculture ministers will meet in Luxembourg to discuss the state of implementation of the EU common fisheries policy and consultations for fishing opportunities for 2023. They will further exchange views on the application of EU standards on imported agricultural and agri-food products, and discuss the situation of agricultural markets in light of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council (Health), 14 June 2022

Ministers will hold two policy debates – about the European Health Data Space (EHDS) and the revision of the EU’s global health strategy.

Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council (Social), 16 June 2022

The presidency will inform about the state of play as regards the draft law on improving working conditions in platform work. Ministers plan to adopt recommendations on individual learning accounts and on ensuring a fair transition towards climate neutrality. They will also hold policy debates on the European Semester, on national objectives to reach the European Social Rights Action Plan headline targets and on employment of people with disabilities.

Economic and Financial Affairs Council, 17 June 2022

The Council will complete several steps in the procedure to allow Croatia to join the euro area. It will also discuss the European Semester, the RRF, sanctions against Russia, and the EU’s new own resources. The Council will aim to make progress on the pillar 2 directive, the Solvency II directive and the alternative investment fund managers directive.

The Council will be informed about current affairs and exchange views on the Horn of Africa, Egypt and the Russian aggression against Ukraine.

General Affairs Council, 21 June 2022

European affairs ministers will prepare the agenda of the upcoming European Council of 23 and 24 June and will exchange views on the way forward as regards the Conference on the future of Europe.

European Council, 23-24 June 2022

EU leaders will address the situation in Ukraine, discuss the economic situation, set out the way forward on the Conference on the Future of Europe and hold a strategic discussion on the European Union’s relations with its partners in Europe.
