Economic and Financial Affairs Council, 9 November 2026
EU finance ministers will be invited to reach political agreement on the tobacco taxation package which aims to update the current outdated rules in this area. The Council will also take decisions under the stability and growth pact and exchange views on simplification and the economic consequences of EU legislation.
Economic and Financial Affairs Council (Budget), 10 November 2026
The Council will prepare the meeting of the budget conciliation committee taking place later the same day, where the Council and the European Parliament will aim to agree on the EU’s annual budget for 2027.
