EU environment ministers will hold a policy debate on the progress reached on the proposals of the ‘Fit for 55’ package that fall under the remit of the Environment Council. The presidency will present a progress report on the proposal for a regulation concerning batteries and waste batteries. Ministers will also exchange views on the EU soil strategy for 2030.
The Council Secretariat will be closed for Christmas holidays between 23 December and 2 January. Next Forward look will be published on Friday 7 January 2022.
