At the 10th edition of the G20 leaders’ meeting taking place in Antalya from 15 to 16 November 2015, the European Union will be represented by President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker and the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk. Commissioner Pierre Moscovici, responsible for Economic and Financial Affairs, Taxation and Customs will accompany the two Presidents to the G20 and High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President Federica Mogherini will also be there to take part in an informal meeting of Foreign Ministers of G20 countries. Ahead of the Summit, in a joint letter sent to EU Heads of State and Government, Presidents Juncker and Tusk set out the EU’s agenda for the G20 meeting. High on the list of priorities will be a collective response to the refugee crisis; continuing to deliver on the jobs, growth and investment agenda; promoting youth employment and social inclusion; moving forward on the G20’s work on tax transparency and pushing for political momentum for trade opening as well as for a strong outcome in the UN negotiations on climate change. The two Presidents will hold a joint pre-Summit press conference on Sunday, 15 November 2015 at 10:30 (tbc) local time. We will have a pre-Summit off-the-record background briefing (for accredited journalists) in Brussels on Tuesday 10 November 2015 at 10:30 (exact time tbc) by the EU’s G20 Sherpa. Both will be available on EbS.
