Grudler Christophe

Christophe Grudler has been a French Member of the European Parliament (MEP) since 2019 and is a member of the centrist Renew Europe group.

A historian and journalist by training, he became involved in politics at an early age and has been elected multiple times in his hometown of Belfort, where he remains deeply rooted.

In the European Parliament, he serves as Renew Europe coordinator within the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE). He is also an alternate member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) and the Subcommittee on Security and Defence (SEDE).

Christophe Grudler is particularly active on issues related to energy, industry, space, and defence. He was the Renew Europe negotiator for the Net Zero Industry Act (NZIA). He has also acted as shadow rapporteur for his group on the European Industrial Strategy, the revision of the Renewable Energy Directive (RED), and REPowerEU.

Currently, Christophe Grudler is co-rapporteur for the Industrial Accelerator Act in the ITRE Committee and is working as shadow rapporteur for the Space Act.

Finally, he is co-chair of the Sky & Space Intergroup and chairs a reflection group on the future of nuclear energy in Europe, which he created within the European Parliament.
