Klaus Trömel is the Head of Lending Operations at the European Investment Bank. He was Director General Risk Management at the Directorate, as well as Director of the Transaction Management & Restructuring. Between 2000 and 2007, he had been Head of Division Project Finance & EIF at the Credit Risk Department and at the Risk Management Directorate. Klaus Trömel had been Loan Officer responsible for the UK / North Sea area in the Directorate for Lending Operations in Europe focusing on on transport, oil & gas and project finance always for the EIB in Luxembourg. Previously, he worked as a Trade & Pre-export Finance Officer for the “Credit des Bergues” in Geneva, Switzerland and as an Analyst for the Hewlett-Packard European headquarters. Klaus Trömel graduated from the Technische Universität Berlin in civil engineering.
